“ Here.
Because I can’t be anywhere else than where I am.

So, here I stand.

Humble witness to our humanity, crumbling, frightened, dismantled by its own (too proper) face of fear.

We now have, like zombies, the same words on our lips, that dissociate us from taking a stand.

As if, over and over again, we let ourselves be dictated by the rules of the game.

I wanted to talk about our fear,
But I realized that I needed to start with my own.

That if unveiled, it will at least be one more brought to light.

After all, in the end, this is the well-kept secret:
self-disclosure is a political act.

And in a time like this, when the whole world is tumbling down,
When external events are monopolizing our attention,
The attention of the being that we are disappears in movements of fears.

Fast pace of the machine, machination,
Out of time and out of self.

How can I tell you that our greatest fear
Is to encounter with that we are?
What I am.

To find what is yours,
To better give yourself to the world.

Fear of discovering that we have power.

I think we are afraid of being responsible.

Of holding in our bodies, the capacity to dazzle the world.

You realize, when you look with fear inside yourself,
How do you think you look at the outside?

Paralyzed, suffocating.
Suffocating from so much air that you can’t feel.

Fear of realizing that it is not enough to be alive, to feel alive.

Fear of feeling
That is the curse of our time, to feel.

And one day,
You will never come back from your walk in the forest
You are the forest.

You will always want more.

To bring back to the world the secrets of our collective freedom,
That are, on the other side of fear.”
